Rating:  - Windows 7 nearly ready
I have Windows 7 (x64) and the device was detected as a Prolific USB Serial converter, but the driver on the CD didn't seem to work. I had to download the driver from the prolific website and run the installer in Windows XP SP3 compatability mode. Works fine now! Could be just my PC...
Rating:  - Phillips Pronto compatibility
Purchased this item to be able to re-programme my Phillips RU940 Pronto universal remote control.
Device received and installed with no problem, however it does not/ can not /will not communicate with the Pronto.
Guys at ABC were very helpful, but unable to solve the issue. Great product, but not if you want it for a Phillips Pronto unit!

Newlink usb to serial. It use prolific chip and work just fine for me. Come with the good package, two pages of manual and driver CD.
Rating: - Serial to usb adapter
This adapter works perfectly with my nc10 netbook. No problem installing or setting it up. I only use it with one piece of equipment, an oscilloscope, but it means I can use the nc10 instead of my old laptop..
Rating: - USB - serial cable that works.
Just want to confirm that this cable, unlike many often more expensive versions, works reliably and installed quickly and trouble-free on both XP & Vista. Item seems well enough made, and install disk ran with no problems. Recommended.
